Exie Idell Main-Taylor passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, at the Sheridan
Healthcare and Rehab Center at the age of 88. She was born on July 15, 1934 to
the late Samuel A. Main and Stella Vest-Main at the family homestead in Monroe
County near Brinkley, Arkansas.
Exie was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, H.R. Taylor, Jr., her
parents and several brothers and sisters.
Exie was a loyal wife and a loving person. She came from a large family and loved
them all. She cared for many family members in their time of need and was
honest in her actions and her treatment of others. She once stated that upon her
resurrection, all she required was a new shovel and a rich piece of ground to
garden in. She enjoyed gardening, and was an excellent cook. Her fried venison
backstrap was the best and could have been served in the finest restaurant.
The most important thing in Exie’s life was her faith. She attended the Prattsville
Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It was there she made friendships, which
bonds will never be broken.
Exie is survived by three sons, Jamie S. Taylor, Samuel Douglas Taylor, and Jeffrey
Robin Taylor and his wife, Lynn; Granddaughter Andrea Janean Lowery and
husband, Thomas; sister, Jewel Easton and husband, Bob.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Crown Point Retirement and
Sheridan Healthcare & Rehab Center.
