Ethel "Pokey" Melinda Masters

Ethel Melinda Carson Masters age 86, of Sheridan, Arkansas known to her family and friends as (Pokey), left this earth to join her lost loved ones on March 15, 2012. Pokey was born September 20, 1925 in Sheridan, the middle daughter of the late William Carson and Florence Elizabeth Ward Carson. She was a homemaker and lived in Grant County most of her life. She was a loving person who never turned anyone away that was down on their luck and needed a helping hand. Pokey was greeted in heaven by her parents, her husbands, two daughters, one son, two sisters, one brother, and one great granddaughter. She is survived by three sons; Melvin Masters of Hobbs New Mexico, Lewis Masters (Liz), and Rufus Masters (Vicki) both of Poyen, Arkansas; one daughter Linda Edwards (Dwight) of Poyen; one daughter-in-law, Judy Masters of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; two sisters, Fannie "Tot" Crutchfield of Sheridan, Arkansas, Elsie Hawkins of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Nine grandchildren, Randy Masters (Jackie), of Grapevine, Arkansas, Mindy Holter, Caleb Masters, and James Masters all of Malvern, Arkansas, Josh Masters, (Tina), Amber Jacobs (Steven), Amanda Masters (Dave), Kelly Edwards, and Jesse Masters, all of Poyen, Arkansas; 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her (Chihuahua) Coco and a host of other family members and friends that will miss her dearly. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., Friday, March 16, 2012 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan, Arkansas. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 17, 2012 in the chapel of Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan. Interment will follow the service at Lost Creek Cemetery, Sheridan, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Randy Master, Caleb Masters, James Masters, Josh Masters, Jessie Masters, and Jim Hale.
