Ernestine Rodgers, 73, of Letona passed away Friday May 29, 2020.  She was born April 25, 1947 at Ft Payne, Alabama to the late Justin and Edith Vance.
Ernestine was one of the strongest women to walk the Earth, she devoted her life to raising her children and supporting her grandchildren.  She was protective, loving, and never let anyone leave her home hungry.  She worked hard for her family and loved us all, no matter how far we wandered.
Ernestine married Randle (Duke) Rodgers on November 19, 1965.  Randle passed away January 17, 2018.
Left to remember her kindness are their children; Cathy Rodgers, Carolyn Rodgers, William Rodgers, Randy Rodgers (Linda), Lonnie Rodgers (Tamika), Erick Rodgers (Ashely), John Rodgers (Sommer), Brenda Rodgers, Kyria Shinaver (Donald), Kris Rodgers (Niki) and Eddie Warden; grandchildren, Liam Rodgers, Ethan Rodgers, Brayden Rodgers, Jaiden Rodgers, Sai Rodgers, Kaleb Wilson, Jessica King, Ben King, Nathan King, John Rodgers, Mary-Jane Rodgers, Sarah-Lee Rodgers, JJ Shinaver, Janessa Shinaver,, and Xena Rodgers; great grandchildren, Jack Maybry, Luke A Maybry, Mark A Maybry, Nathaniel King, Jr., Terry King, Alex King and many nieces and nephews, and friends.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday June 14, 2020 at Letona Community Center.  Internment will follow at the Leggett Cemetery at Sunnydale.
