Elsie Blanche Friesland (Moore) Chapps, 75 of Judsonia, Arkansas passed away on March 8, 2023. She was a resident of Oakdale Nursing Facility. She was born on August 11, 1947, in Edenburg, Illinois to the late Melvin Alvern Friesland, Sr. and Blanche Angeline Angey Friesland. She married Franklin Chapps, Sr. and he preceded her in death, 2002. She was a homemaker and housewife. She enjoyed watching westerns, crocheting, cooking, baking, sewing, her grandchildren, and taking care of her animals.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Earl Edward Moore and Melvin James Smith, two husbands, Eugene Edward Moore and Franklin Eugene Chapps, Sr., one sister, Lena; four brothers, Charles, George, Chester, and Francis.
She is survived by four daughters Priscilla (Mike) Henderson of Searcy, Arkansas, Loretta (Wayne) Bennett of Hardy, Arkansas, Blanche Pearl Sparks of Litchfield, Illinois, and Blossom Rose Moore of Taylorville, Illinois; one adopted daughter (granddaughter) Alexis (Joseph) Lowe of Harrison, Arkansas, five sisters, Leota Belvins of Rockford, Illinois, Charlotte (Joe) Ferguson of New London, Missouri, Maggie Sidener of Garner, Arkansas, Margery (Tim) Moulton of Vernon, Illinois, Roxie Tyler of Cotopaxi, Colorado. Three Brothers, Melvin Friesland Jr of Taylor Springs, Illinois, Oren Friesland of Calico Rock, Arkansas, and John (Charlotte) Friesland of Ohio. Several grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Additionally, several aunts, one uncle, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2023 at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Baker Cemetery near Williford, Arkansas at 3:00 p.m.
