Ella Norton Harvill, age 83, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at her home. She was born February 3, 1927 in Waldron, a daughter of the late Fred Norton and Parally Barnard Norton. Mrs. Harvill was an active volunteer for local food banks through her church; supported the Childrens Christian Network, and delivered the Pine Bluff Commercial for many years. She was a retired employee of Western Sizzling and was a member of Oak Park Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Harvill was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Harvill; one son, Jerry Harvill; three brothers; and three sisters.
Mrs. Harvill is survived by one son, Ronald Harvill of Pine Bluff; one sister, Lorene Norton Davis of Waldron; three grandchildren, Angela Harvill, Terry Harvill and Melanie Cahill; four great grandchildren, Josie Cahill, Jennifer Temple, Angie Temple and Lloyd Lightfoot Jr.; one great-great grandchild, Jeremiah Temple.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Oak Park Free Will Baptist Church with Brother Brian Kesterson and Brother James Ashcraft officiating. Burial will follow in Rowell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870)325-6216.
