Elizabeth "Libby" Carroll

Elizabeth M. Libby Carroll, age 66 of the Woodlawn Community died Tuesday, April 28, 2009. She was born July 20, 1942 in Rison, a daughter of the late Clifton and Dorothy Wells Bradley. Mrs. Carroll was a homemaker and attended Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, June Ruth Bradley, Thomas Leon Bradley and Jewell Clifton Bradley; one sister, Mildred Mars.

Mrs. Carroll is survived by her husband, A. C. Sonny Carroll of Woodlawn; one son, David Carroll and wife Brandi of Woodlawn; two stepsons, Timothy Carroll and Chuck Carroll, both of Michigan; two stepdaughters, Vena Hunt of Ohio, Pamela Carroll of Michigan; four brothers, Lloyd Bradley of Woodlawn, Joe Bradley of Rison, Fred Bradley of Mt. Ida, Kenneth Bradley of Richton, Mississippi; three sisters, Billie Glover of Pine Bluff, Nola Rushing of Woodlawn, Charlotte Munn of Rison; ten grandchildren, Emily Carroll, Nate Hatfield, Michael Hatfield, Amber Carroll, Jeremiah Carroll, Christine Carroll, Brandi Carroll, Johnny Carroll, Adam Carroll and Jennifer Carroll; and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Rison with Brother Ronnie Glover and Brother Ricky Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2009 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Jimmy Bradley, Dennis Bradley, Johnny Johnson, James Johnson, Tony Rushing, Eddie Rushing, Jeffery Bradley and T. J. Rushing. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Kitchel, Koobie Bradley, Terry Albright, Mike Mars, Gary Mars, Lary Mars, Billy Mars and Kevin Mars. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
