Elbert G. Wilkerson

Elbert G. Wilkerson, age 91, of Pine Bluff, died Friday, November 9, 2012. He was born June 22, 1921, in Leake County, Mississippi, a son of the late Collie Wilkerson and Minnie Lee Stevens Wilkerson. Mr. Wilkerson served in the United States Army during World War II and was a retired farmer. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Irene Edwards Wilkerson and Mary Ellen Wilkerson and one son, Elbert Ray Wilkerson. Mr. Wilkerson is survived by three daughters, Patricia Ann White of Arkansas, Linda Sue McBurnett and Judy Kay Moreno, both of Pine Bluff; six sons, Charles Wilkerson of Pine Bluff, Jimmy Wilkerson of Jacksonville, Lee Wilkerson of Picayune, Mississippi, James Wilkerson of Dumas, Tommy Wilkerson of Star City and Glenn Wilkerson of Pine Bluff; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many extended family members and a host of friends. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Holly Springs Cemetery in Star City with Reverend Chris Dixon officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, Monday, November 12, 2012 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
