Edna Lorine Ethridge

Edna Lorine Ethridge age 85 of Rison, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 at her home. She was born May 8, 1922 in Rison, a daughter of the late John Cramler and Lula Anderson Lunsford. Mrs. Ethridge was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband Jesse Ethridge on October 19, 1992; brothers, Dugan Lunsford, Junior Kennedy; sisters, Charlene Amerson, Marie Rasco.

Mrs. Ethridge is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Tina and John Shalmy of Rison; one sister, Elsie Rhea of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, John Shalmy Jr., of Conway, Anthony Shalmy, Jennifer Shalmy and Jason Shalmy all of Rison; two great grandchildren, Johnaton Shalmy of Conway and Phoenix Shalmy of Rison.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Rison with Brother Bill Davidson and Brother Johnie Brewster officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Buie Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
