Ray Swafford, 47, of Higginson, Arkansas, passed away on May 11, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on February 1, 1977, in Heber Springs, Arkansas.

Ray was the most loving, caring, and selfless man. He enjoyed making friends and never met a stranger. His storytelling was legendary, and he could captivate listeners for days with his tales. A hard worker, Ray always went above and beyond to provide for his family. He was a devoted husband, father and Chief, never giving up and loving with all his heart. Ray was known for his realness, honesty, and straightforward nature.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kristie Swafford, children Tielyr, Jerikah (Blake), Phylicity (Kyle), Sydney (Aaron), Katie (Chris), and Andrew, as well as his grandchildren Ahnikah, Phoenixx, Rosabella, Giovanni, Phyn'Leigh, Paris, Hollynd, Kylee, Mauriana, and Oakley. Ray is also survived by his parents, Dwayne and Annette Swafford, sister-in-law Syndee Mosley (Jason), brother-in-law Timmy Askins, aunts Linda Fletcher (Jack), and Brenda Plumb (Paul), uncles Glen Swafford (Lucretia) and Randy Swafford (Lilly) and Steve Lawson, many cousins, nieces and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hershel & Margaret Hall; paternal grandparents, Roy & Minnie Swafford; father & mother-in-law, Eddie & Kathy Askins; brother-in-law Jeremy Askins; aunt Barbara Lawson; and uncle Daniel Hall.

Ray worshipped at Trinity Pentecostal Church of God in Higginson, Arkansas. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and cherished spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Ray's favorite tradition was the annual anniversary trips he took with his wife.

Rest in peace, Ray Swafford. Your love and memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew you.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett, Arkansas from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with services following at 2:00 p.m.
