Douglas Clark Riley, age 85, of El Paso went to be with his Lord on September 20, 2023. He was born July 19, 1938, in El Paso to the late Sam and Bessie (Breckenridge) Riley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Jean Hazel, three brothers Tom Riley, Jerry Riley, and Charles Riley, and his great-grandson Connor Sanders. Mr. Riley was a faithful member of Oak Church of Christ in El Paso. He was a United States Navy veteran stationed aboard the USS Shangri-La. He enjoyed fishing, camping, coon hunting, and cattle farming. Every year he grew a large garden.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Kay (Taylor) Riley, two daughters Terry Brockinton and her husband Tony of St. Paul, AR, Missy Patrom and her husband Chris of El Paso, AR, three granddaughters, Megan Bushman and her husband Zach of Rochester, MN, Lauren Sanders and her husband Zach of El Paso, AR, Shelby Huffstickler of El Paso, AR, one grandson Austin Patrom of El Paso, AR, three great-grandsons Hunter Mcintier, Sylas Cunningham, Abel Sanders and one brother Don Riley and wife Arlena of El Paso, AR.
Pallbearers will be Austin Patrom, Zach Sanders, Zach Bushman, Corey Wooldridge, Scott Wooldridge and Jason Hoofman. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Mcintier, Sylas Cunningham and Abel Sanders.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Oak Church of Christ in El Paso with David Riley and Duane Warden officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Blasingame Cemetery in El Paso.
