Douglas MacArthur McLaughlin, age 82, of Kensett went to be with his Lord on December 23, 2024.
He was born April 29, 1942, in Calfax, Louisiana to the late Landry Jack McLaughlin and Catherine
Bryant McLaughlin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie
McLaughlin, his sons Tom Statler and Harold Statler, his brother, Jimmy McLaughlin, his sisters,
Bertha Simmons, Betty Folden, Rose Arnold and Cindy McLaughlin, grandchildren Douglas Statler,
and Nancy Duncan, great-grandchildren Katlyn Weems, Rentha Hart, and Lizzy Jane Vest. He was a retired concrete finisher, and enjoyed going to church and singing specials, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and watching westerns. He was also involved in helping with the Food Bank and witnessing at prison ministries.
He is survived by his children Tammy Crutchfield and her husband Alfredo, Linda Sullivan and her husband Buddy, Shelia Jasso and her husband Martine, Cindy Boldery and her husband Danny, Marquita Gohkle and her husband Dale, and Rebecca Ellard and her husband David, siblings, Landry McLaughlin, Edward McLaughlin and his wife Donna, and Kathy West, 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Cole Funeral Home & Crematory in Kensett.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2024, at Cole Funeral Home in Crematory in Kensett. Interment will follow Kensett Cemetery.
