Dorthy Ann (Murrah Wallace) Reed

Dorthy Ann Murrah Wallace Reed, age 85, of Grapevine passed away on July 8, 2022. She was born June 12, 1937 in Bucksnort, Arkansas to the late Thomas William Murrah and Nellie Stell Murrah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Laura, Gertrude, Virginia, Earl and Edward. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and enjoyed horse riding, native and western costumes, showing horses, gardening and spending time with family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Steve Reed, her daughters, Sandra Harrison, Leavon Barker (Bill), Phyllis Jean Rushing (Curtis), Virginia Harrison (Raymond), Rosemary Lassiter (David), and Patricia Westfall (Larry), siblings, Murle Pennington, James Murrah and Dewayne Murrah, grandchildren, Eric Harrison, Ashley Baxter, Jimmy Baker, Afton Craig, Colby Rushing, Joey Puckett, Casey Puckett, Kerri Warren, Kim Chambers, Brandi Ray and Corey Westfall and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jim Baker, Eric Harrison, Joey Puckett, Colby Rushing, Casey Puckett and Corey Westfall. Honorary pallbearers will be Zane Baker, Sean Craig, Karson Glindeman, Kaden Rushing, Korbin Rushing, Blayton Puckett, Waylon James Westfall, Isaac Harrison, Ian Harrison, Liam Lisenbey and Ryan Curran.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2022 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Carthage with interment to follow.
