Dorothy Lucille Smith

Dorothy "Dot" Lucille Smith, age 74, of Sheridan, Arkansas passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, Arkansas with her loving family by her side. She was born March 5, 1939 in Seminary, Mississippi the daughter of the late James Scarborough Bush and Elry Stubbs Bush. Dorothy was retired from Mississippi Baptist Medical center in Jackson Mississippi. She was of Baptist faith. Dorothy loved being with her family and had a strong love for all kinds of animals. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joy Hayes Smith Sr.; and one son, Ronnie Lee Phillips. Dorothy is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia Hughey and husband Jim of Sheridan, Arkansas; two grandsons, Jeffrey Allen Hughey of Benton, Arkansas and Brian Lee Phillips of Pensacola, Florida; one great granddaughter, Anna Elizabeth Hughey of Benton, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends that will miss her dearly. Graveside service will be 2:30 P.M., Sunday March 17, 2013 at Orion Cemetery, Redfield, Arkansas. Visitation will be 12:00 P.M. - 1:30 P.M., at Buie Funeral Home Chapel Sheridan, Arkansas prior to service.
