Dorothy Ellen Erickson

Dorothy Ellen Cox Erickson, age 98, of North Little Rock, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 30, 2012. She was born April 14, 1914 in Moline, Illinois, a daughter of the late Earl S. Cox and Katherine Van Norman Cox. Mrs. Erickson was a professional waitress for over 35 years in Glendale, California, and was a member of First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock. She had a relationship with The Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized into His might Name in 2006, receiving the Holy Ghost just one month ago at her church, during a sermon by Brother Joel Holmes. Mrs. Erickson absolutely loved ball room dancing and often danced with Lawrence Welk. She actually danced with President Richard Nixon at a County Club in Westchester, California, where her son-in-law nicknamed her "Miss Hollywood". Mrs. Erickson was a descendant of George Rogers Clark, who was an Officer and Hero of the American Revolutionary War, whom was an elder brother of the Clark explorer that was a partner to Lewis in the Lewis and Clark Expedition. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Nadeen Ellen Tipton. Mrs. Erickson is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Joan Elaine Taylor (Fred) of North Little Rock; three grandchildren, Edward Arthur Tipton (Sandy), Kari Loran Aellig (Brian), all of California, Lori Koran Revels of Michigan; ten great grandchildren, Eddie Tipton, Sarah Tipton, Brittany Aellig, Kenzie Aellig, Lindsey Mae Aellig, Joshua Aellig, all of California, Hannah Revels, Kara Revels, Levi Revels and Kyle Revels, all of Michigan. The family wishes to Thank Brother Joel Holmes and the First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock and the Hospice Foundation for all of their help and support. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan (870) 942-3231. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas with Brother Joel Holmes officiating.
