Dorothy Lorene Atchley

Dorothy Lorene Atchley, age 86 of Bryant, Arkansas formerly of Sheridan, died Friday, November 25, 2011. She was born December 8, 1924 in Prattsville, Arkansas the daughter of the late James Alison Crutchfield and Lady May (Kennedy) Crutchfield. She was employed by Westinghouse for over thirty-three years. Mrs. Dorothy was recently named the 2011 Southern Trace Health Care beauty queen. She was of the Baptist faith for many years. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Jones and her husband Jerry of Van Buren, AR., and Brenda Berry of Benton, AR.; two brothers, Jerry Crutchfield and James Crutchfield of Sheridan; four sisters, Zula Bird and Zelma Highsmith of Sheridan, AR., Helen Lipscomb of Seminole, FL. and Betty Tapley of Greenbrier, AR.; six grandchildren, Bobby, Diana, Michael, Jeffrey, Brian and Tina; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren with one on the way. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1: 00 P.M. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan, Arkansas with Brother Brad Warren officiating Interment will follow the service at Philadelphia Cemetery near Prattsville.
