Donnie Lee Bargar

March 27, 1954 — January 27, 2021

Kensett

Donnie Lee Bargar, 66, of Kensett passed away suddenly January 27, 2021.  He was born March 27, 1954 to Leroy and Bonnie Mosley Bargar at Searcy.  He was born just a few minutes after his twin sister.
His father, Leroy Bargar, preceded him in death December 23, 2001 and rests at Kensett Cemetery.
Donnie was a man who worked hard and played hard.  In his own words, “He had made a million and lost a million” working in agriculture and heavy equipment operations.  He spoke what was on his mind and he always had a joke loaded in his chamber.  Donnie was a fun person to spend time with.  He knew many people and could remember just about anything they shared with him.  He enjoyed spending time with his family.  It did not matter how you were related to him…you were “family” and that is what mattered most to Donnie.  He held a special place in his heart for his dear momma. She meant the world to him and the endearment was returned.
Some would describe Donnie as an avid fisherman.  He enjoyed time spent with his dad and uncles on the waters of Des Ark, mostly it was not just about the fishing, but more about spending time with the people he cared about.  Donnie was also one heck of a great farmer.  He knew more than most about the equipment and crops he tended to.  He was a Caterpillar man.  You did not see him without a Caterpillar hat on unless it was replaced by a Stetson hat.  He was a blue jean, western shirt, and work boot kind of man, and he was one of a kind.  He was not shy about hugging your neck and telling you that he loved you.  His embraces will be missed by his loved ones.
Those left to remember his stories and laughter are his beloved mother, Bonnie Mosley Bargar; his daughters, Sheila Bargar Murphy (David) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Felicia Bargar of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and Miranda Bargar of Kensett; son, Darrin Bargar of Searcy; grandchildren, Kamden Bargar and Bailey Bargar; sister, Connie Stake (John) of Kensett; nephew, Steven Stake (Brandy) of Kensett, and a host of friends and family who loved him dearly.

There will be a private family viewing 10:00 Monday, February 1, 2021 at Sullivan Memorial Chapel.  Graveside services will be held at the Kensett Cemetery 11:00 Monday, February 1, 2021.  The Graveside service is open to all who want to gather and celebrate his life.  Due to COVID-19 the family asks you wear a mask and practice social distancing.
