Donald Ross Roberts

Donald Ross Roberts, 71, of Sheridan, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Hot Spring County Medical Center in Malvern. He was born August 26, 1936, in Sheridan a son of the late Marion Ross and Alice Elizabeth Whitaker Roberts. Mr. Roberts was a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church since 1953. He married Judy Kelly on February 4, 1961 in Sheridan. He served in the National Guard, and was employed with International Paper Company until he retired in 1998. After retirement, Mr. Roberts worked for Sheridan Schools as a bus driver.

Survivors are his wife of 46 years, Judy Kelly Roberts of Sheridan; daughter, Karen Roberts Hitt of Little Rock; son and daughter-in-law, James Donald Roberts and Angi of Sheridan; granddaughter, Elizabeth Corinne Hitt; step-grandchildren, Christopher Hitt, Donald Hitt, and Dana Silvera.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Sheridan. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation will be from 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Buie Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials can be made to Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church building fund, P.O. Box 389, Sheridan, AR 72150.
