Donald Friend

Donald Eugene Friend, 88 of Greenwood, Indiana previous of Searcy, Arkansas left his earthly home on September 28, 2023. He was born on September 10, 1934, in Decatur, Illinois to John and Mary Miller Friend.  Don loved reading and watching sports, especially Cubs baseball, but as long as there was a game on he was interested.  He retired from the Austin Company after a long career with them.  Don and Hazel loved traveling around the country prior to their decline in health.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Hazel Friend, numerus brothers and sisters, and two children, Robert Powell and Rhonda Richter.

He is survived by his sons, Charles Powell, and Donald Friend, one daughter, Debbie Neidetcher. Grandchildren, Aaron Powell, Stephanie Richter, Daniel Richter, Casey, Rhea Powell, Daniel Friend, Douglas Friend, Michael Friend, Nicholas Neidetcher, and Andrew Neidetcher. Great grandchildren, Ariana Powell, Kayla Richter, Dylan Richter, and Danny Richter.
