Don Jewell Miller

Don Jewell Miller, age, 79 of Rison, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 11, 2012. He was born July 28, 1932 in Rison, a son of the late Jewell Henderson Miller and Dora Irene Glover Miller. Mr. Miller was a 1950 graduate of Rison High School. He was a salesman and truck driver before his retirement. Mr. Miller was a member of Culpepper Masonic Lodge Number 186; and a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason. He enjoyed traveling with the Pine Bluff Cotton Pickers, walking, visiting with former customers and working in the yard. Mr. Miller was a member of Rison Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of sixty years, Robbie Haggard Miller of Rison, whom he married on June 3, 1951; son, Billy Don Miller of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Susie Miller of Rison; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Rison Baptist Church with Brother Wade Totty and Brother C. E. Van Ness officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with Masonic rites. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012 at Buie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Jack Winston, Buddy Allison, Cleve Reed, Hershel Garner, Donny Herring, Joe Rauls, Rex Stanfield and Lamar Jennings. Memorials may be made to Rison Baptist Church, P. O.
