Dolores Jean McCracken

Dolores Jean McCracken, age 94, of St. Louis, Mo. for 83 years and Conway, Ar for 11 years, passed away September 8, 2023. She was born in St. Louis, April 6, 1929, to the late Charles Jekel and Genevieve Bachmann Jekel. She was preceded in death by her husband David Larry McCracken and her brother, Charles Jekel.

She was a homemaker for the first 21 years of marriage and then became a waitress at Red Lobster, which was a pivotal time in her life, and which she enjoyed. She was a proud member of the Order of Job’s Daughters in her younger years. She was also an accomplished racquetball player and one of her favorite pastimes was belonging to a bowling league with her husband.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Buck (Ricky), and sons David McCracken (Bonita) and Gary McCracken. She loved her 8 grandchildren, Michael Buck (Grace Ann), Jonathan Buck (Holly), Mark Buck (Kailey) and Daniel, Caleb, Abigail, Sean and Andy McCracken, as well as her 4 great grandchildren.

She will be missed by her family and by all who loved her.
