Dewey Rawls

Dewey Rawls, age 86, of Rison passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at his home. Mr. Rawls was born January 29, 1930 in Rison, Arkansas to the late John C. and Florence Mable Gracie Rawls. He founded Rawls Concrete in 1977. Mr. Rawls was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Dale Rawls; one brother, J. C. Rawls and one sister, Lois Rawls Wachner.

Mr. Rawls is survived by his wife, Willie Maude White Rawls of Rison; one son, Chris (Becky) Rawls of Rison; three brothers, Calvin Rawls of Rison, Joe R. Rawls of Rison, Jimmy Don Rawls of Hereford, Arizona; three grandchildren, Chad (Natalie) Rawls, Eric (Michelle) Rawls, Amy (Scott) Rawls Hall; seven great-grandchildren, Audrey and Collier Rawls, Daniel and Eli Rawls, Jacob, Noah and Ethan Hall.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2016 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison with Brother David Leopard and Brother John Fulmer officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery at Rison. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Michael Joe Lindsey, Tony White, Eric Rawls, Scott Hall, Chad Rawls and David Davis; honorary pallbearers are James White, Jacob Hall, Noah Hall, Ethan Hall, Daniel Rawls and Eli Rawls.
