Dewey Lee Brown

Dewey Lee Brown age 68 of Rison, died Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born September 19, 1939 in Sheridan, a son of late Milton and Ruby Cash Brown. Mr. Brown was a heavy equipment operator for the Jefferson County Road Department. He attended school in Sheridan and was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Reverend J. T. Brown; one sister, Dorothy Winston.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Laura Valentine Brown of Rison; two sons, David Lee Brown and Gregory Reed Brown, both of Rison; one daughter, Diane Kay Arnold of Rison; four brothers, Bobby Brown of Little Rock, William H. Brown of Louisiana, Jimmy Brown of Sheridan, Truman Brown of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Laura Patrick of Rison, Tara Hogue of El Dorado, Brandon Arnold of Rison; one great grandson, Ace Patrick of Rison.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 28, 2008 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Larry Frye officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Pallbearers are Aaron Terry, Wesley Leopard, Jimmy Dixon, Thomas Brown, Jim Earl Brown and Charlie Brown.
