Denise Aileen (Landis) Pearlman

June 29, 1968 — January 13, 2021

Judsonia

Denise Landis Pearlman, age 52,  left her Earthly home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 13, 2020 after a brief yet courageous battle with Covid-19.
Denise was aptly named “fiesty” and “tough” by her caregivers during her illness.  These words ring true as Denise lived a wonderful, Christ like life with passion and such joy, that it couldn’t help but emulate those privileged enough to be around her.
A lifelong learner, Denise was actively seeking a degree in Psychology and Therapy.  Previously, she was employed by Riverview School district as a Pre Kindergarten paraprofessional.  She was always spotted with “her kids” taking them to the cafeteria holding their little hands, helping open milk cartons, or putting on jackets, without complaint.  She always had a smile on her face and loved to help others.  During her planning period, she was known for walking the halls asking to lend a helping hand if needed to other faculty and staff. Denise was also the owner of Scrapbook Attic.  She was an avid scrapbooker and made many friends through the years while holding her Scrapbook Extravaganza’s.
Denise graduated from Judsonia High school in 1986 and recently earned her Associates degree at Arkansas State University, Beebe.
She is survived by her children; Brett Martindill, Brittney Stone (Mycal), Shelby Pearlman, and Jacob Pearlman; grandchildren, Addison Martindill and Gage Martindill; her parents James and Brenda Landis; a sister Michelle(Eric) Roach; and a brother Brian(Casey) Landis; a nephew and many nieces.
Denise was preceded in death by her grandparents: Rapel and Anita Willis, Doyle and Elva Landis, and a granddaughter Bailey Faith Martindill.
Denise, also known as Nana, had two extra special loves in her life, Gage and Addi, who are also left to cherish their fun beach trips, Gingerbread house decorating, and back to school shopping trips.  Oh how she loved being Nana!
Black Friday shopping trips won’t be the same without Necie. You might see a carload of ladies with lots of shopping bags and boxes heading out to find the latest bargain.  However, it was so much more than that.  Denise loved the memories and special times with her mom, sisters and all of “her girls.”  However, most important of all, Denise adored her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Her song ministry blessed many over the years.
Denise was also known as a philanthropist and expanded on her empathy for others and the community.  She spearheaded a fundraiser for Patriot’s Day (9/11 families), Hurricane Katrina and also victims of the tornado that devastated Vilonia, to name a few.
Denise loved Jesus and will be watching from Heaven as we lay her Earthly body to rest.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in memory of Bailey Faith Martindill.
