David D. Howell, of Vilonia, passed away on June 28, 2020, at the age of 65.
David was born on December 14, 1954, in Conway, Arkansas to Joseph Lee and Ruth (Bane) Howell. He graduated from Vilonia High School in 1972, where he played baseball and was a proud Vilonia Eagle. He was a Christian and a member of Liberty Church of Christ. He was a huge Arkansas Razorback sports fan, loved fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
David is survived by one daughter, Jamie Smith (Christopher Bussell) of Austin; three sisters, Karen Stephens (Steve) of Damascus; Teresa Brainard (Eric) of Bentonville; Gina Reeves of Bentonville; three grandsons, Devin Davie; Jason Angerer; Dillon Evans, nine nieces and nephews, Bryan Beene; Natasha Roberts; Robin Abels; Rebekah Bittle; Brittney Smith; Jordan Brainard; Jacob Brainard; Hannah Cortinas; and Josh Qualls, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Vilonia Funeral Home 1134 Main Street Vilonia, AR 72173. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all attendees over the age of 10 must wear a mask. Masks are not provided by the funeral home.
The family will host a memorial service on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at 5:30 PM at Liberty Church of Christ 542 US 64 Conway, AR 72032.
DO NOT ATTEND THE SERVICE IF: You have ran a fever within 2 days of the service, if you have had a cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms typical of COVID-19, or if you have had known exposure to anyone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days. YOU MAY WISH TO REFRAIN FROM ATTENDING IF: You are 65 years of age or older, you have underlying health conditions such as high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, severe obesity, asthma, or a weakened immunity.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to assist the family with expenses.
