David Ishman Buie

David Ishman Buie, age 99, of Prattsville, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant, Arkansas. Mr. Buie was born March 5, 1918 in Prattsville, Arkansas, to the late Roy Buie and Emmie Ashley Buie. He was a retired farmer and served in the United States Army, WWII, Japan. In addition to his parents, Mr. Buie was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-six years, Joe E. Mooney in 2005.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Buie and wife, Del of Prattsville, James Buie of Prattsville; one daughter, Davalene Warner and husband, Johnny of Bryant; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and eighteen great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 21, 2017 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan with Brother Don Goodman officiating. Interment will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Pallbearers are Steve Sheffield, Bean Freeman, Troy Buie, Stephen Shoptaw, Chase Mangiapane and Brendon Shumate. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
