Curtis "Sam" Edwards

Curtis "Sam" Edwards, age 68 of Rison passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017. Mr. Edwards was born March 18, 1948 in Rison, Arkansas, to Eddie Edwards and Alma F. Davis Edwards Nork. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Opal Ashcraft, Erma Lee Reynolds and Esther Thompson and two brothers, Gene Edwards and Albert Edwards.

Mr. Edwards is survived by three brothers, Jessie Edwards of Arkadelphia, Jimmy Edwards of Pine Bluff, Billy Edwards of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Mary V. Guffy of Rison, Linda Smith of Pine Bluff and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m., Friday, March 17, 2017 at Prosperity Cemetery in Rison with Brother John Fulmer officiating. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Ron Edwards, T. J. Edwards, John David Rogers, Tony Doss, James Erwin, Gary Peters, Randy Erwin and Randy Hollis; honorary pallbearers are Bobby Byrne, DeWayne Whipple, Jimmie Dale Peterson and Bobby Whipple.
