Curtis James Cullins, age 77, of Rison passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021. He was born April 19, 1943 in Rison to the late Lavelle Wilson Cullins and Mary Simmons Cullins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Odis Cullins.  He was a supervisor for National Filtration for 15 years, and later worked for C’s Carpets for several years. He was a lifetime member of Simmons Hunting Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife Joyce Cullins, daughter Dina Plumlee and her husband Joey, step-daughter, Tina Cranford and husband Brian, step-son Paul McCowan, grandsons, Zach Melhorn and his wife Taylor, Nic Scherff, one step-granddaughter Samantha Williams, four great-grandsons, one brother David Cullins, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2021 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison.
