Conrad Curtis Wilkerson, age 89, of Sheridan went to be with his Lord on Monday, June 17, 2019. He was born January 31, 1930 in Sheridan, Arkansas to the late Aubrey Warren Wilkerson and Ruth Angeline Chandler Wilkerson. Mr. Wilkerson served in the United States Navy for 6 years as an electrician. He later went on to work for Westinghouse as a service manager retiring after 34 years of service. He was a faithful member of Gateway Baptist Church in Memphis, TN, later returning to Lost Creek Baptist Church his hometown church in Sheridan. He was President and Head Instructor for Frayser Judo Club in Memphis, TN for 43 years and held the rank of Rokudan (6th Dan) . He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, gardening and was an avid collector of unique items. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by many. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sarah Simpson, Mary Lou Harris and Joyce Wilkerson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Myrtle Ethel Wilkerson, three daughters, Debbie Belluomini and her husband David of Bartlett, TN, Brenda Cook and her husband Tim of Oakland, TN, Carol Smith and Jim Hauser of Ft. Smith, AR, grandchildren, Justin and Bradley Belluomini, Drew, Will, Montana and Sierra Smith, siblings, Alma Justus of Little Rock, Warren Wilkerson of Sheridan, Peggy Bellomy of Sheridan, Gail Damron of Sheridan and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan with Bro. Terry Bumgardner and Bro. Kenneth Click officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Lost Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
