Clarence Wilbur Harris

Clarence W. Harris, age 87 of Sheridan, Arkansas, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Sheridan Nursing and Rehab. He was born February 12, 1924 in Prattsville, Arkansas, a son of the late Harvey L. Harris and Vida E. Hope. Mr. Harris was a logger for twenty-one years for an Oregon logging company. He enjoyed bee keeping and was known as the Honey Man. Mr. Harris attended Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma E. Harris, one step-son, Tom Moore, two brothers, James and Harvey Harris, one sister, Lyndell Davis, and his parents.

He is survived by two step-sons; Hershel Moore of Fort Collins, Colorado and Stan Moore of Butte Falls, Oregon; three brothers, Carthel and Bill Harris, both of Sheridan, and Charles Doc Harris of Ashland, Oregon; three sisters, Sue Lowery of Reeds Port, Oregon, Vaughnita Hubbard of Patterson, Louisiana, and Doris Faye Harris of Anderson, California and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildern.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home Chapel with Brothers Ron Meredith and Robert Ewing officiating. Interment will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be 5:00 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan.
