Charlie Mae Henderson

August 22, 1928 — April 6, 2016

Charlie Mae Henderson, age 87, of White Hall went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born August 22, 1928 in Tupelo, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Arvel Jackson Parmer and Willie B. Curbow Parmer. Ms. Henderson enjoyed being outdoors working in her garden and spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of White Hall United Pentecostal Church for over thirty years and formerly served as janitor. Ms. Henderson dearly loved her church and church family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Rabon Henderson; two brothers, Oneal Parmer, Otis Parmer and one sister, Opal Cannon.

Survivors include two sons, Marion Henderson and wife, Wanda of Rison, James Henderson and wife, Joyce of Pine Bluff; one daughter, Linda Shovan and husband, Huey "Buddy" of White Hall; two sisters, Pauline Lawson of Sheridan, Billie Ann Neely of Pine Bluff; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2016 at White Hall United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Chris Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in Center Campground Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Ms. Henderson's grandchildren will service as pallbearers. Funeral arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
