Charles Wayne Styles, Sr.

Charles Wayne Styles, Sr. age 88, of Hensley, Arkansas died Tuesday, August 30, 2022.  He was born January 27, 1934, in East End, Arkansas a son of the late Eddis and Katie Hicks. Mr. Styles worked for Savastop, Ryder, and Entergy.  Mr. Styles was preceded in his death by his wife Laverne Heavner Styles and his son Ronnie Styles, and brothers, James Eddis Hicks, and Ronnie (Bud) Hicks.  Mr. Styles was a lifelong resident of the East End Community and was a member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church and active with the Golden Heart Ministry. He was also a member of the 30-06 Hunting Club.

He is survived by his three children, Charles “Wayne” Styles, Jr., Donald “Donnie” Lee Styles, and Marion Elizabeth Cope, and three grandchildren, Sonny Lee Foster (Eric), Amber Marie Emberson (Caleb), and Charlotte Hayes, and six great-grandchildren, Alexis Hayes, Catherine Hayes, Joshua Cope, Reese Emberson, Kora Emberson, and Kitt Emberson.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2022, at East Union Missionary Baptist Church with interment to follow Salem Cemetery in East End.
