Charles “Charlie” Hamilton, 60, of Searcy, Arkansas passed away on July 12, 2023, at Unity Health in Searcy. Charlie was born in San Juan, Texas on February 25, 1963, to Earl and Zella Mae (Lawson) Hamilton. He grew up in Brinkley alongside eight brothers and sisters. As a teen and young adult, Charlie enjoyed fishing, roller skating, and attending rock concerts. Charlie worked as a truck driver most of his life before training as an auctioneer. He eventually bought and ran his own auction company and loved holding auctions on Friday nights.
In his twenties, he met his wife, Melissa. Within their first year, they started their family with the birth of their first child. Completing their family three years later after their second child was born. As a family, they loved fishing, swimming, and taking family camping trips. Being a loving and dependable father and papa were his priority. He certainly did not disappoint when it came to whole-heartedly loving his family. Charlie was described by his granddaughters as “always happy and ready to play”, he “always told us we were beautiful and let us have extra snacks”, and he “always had the warmest hugs and funny jokes”.
Charlie had the kindest soul and never met a stranger. He would lend his hand to anyone wo needed it. He was the most forgiving man who couldn’t hold a grudge if he tried.
In addition to his wife, Melissa, he is survived by his children, Kerri Smith (Matt) and Will Hamilton (Megan Gosser) both of Searcy. Grandchildren, Dathan, Adilynn, Harliegh, and Callie. Surviving siblings, Esther Huffman (James), Rusty Hamilton (Joann), James Earl Hamilton (Linda), and Brenda Young, all of Searcy. Bobby Broadway (Eula) of Sherwood.
He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Sisters, Betty Jo Settle and Ruth Ann Hamilton, and one brother, Buddy Broadway.
