Charles Floyd Graf, Sr. passed away at the age of 87, on May 29, 2023. He was born on December 28, 1935 to Floyd and Marie Graf in Chicago, Illinois. He spent his career working at many different construction and maintenance jobs and retired from the Ouachita Job Corps in Royal, Arkansas. Charles was of the Catholic faith and served his country in the United States Army with a Rank of Sgt. He attended Quartermaster School and served as a Chaplin’s Assistant and Organist. Charles received a National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Eugene Graf, sister Marie Duke, and son in law Martin Best.
He is survived by his children: Robert Graf, Mary Best, Charles Jr. & Jennifer Graf, and Joseph & Brandi Graf. Three siblings: Patrick & Dorothy Graf, Barbara Tyler, and David & Susan Graf. Grandchildren: Matthew Johnson, Charles Graf III, Martin Graf, Sarah Graf ,Amber Graf, Ashley Vaughn, and Allison Kleypas. Also surviving are many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
