Charles Doggett

Charles Ray Doggett 69 of Grapevine, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2008 at V.A. Hospital in Little Rock. He was born April 8, 1939 in Johnsville, Arkansas to Clifton and Ruby Burnett Doggett. Mr. Doggett served with the U.S. Marines. He worked for 20 years as a salesman for Georgia Pacific until retiring in 1977. Charles then worked as a cabinet maker where he specialized in making clocks. On August 18, 1989 he married Susie Nall in Hamburg, Arkansas. Charles was a member of the Baptist faith, a Mason and a Shrine member. He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, George Clifton and Mary Ruth Doggett; his mother and step-father, Ruby and Tony Ferrell; two daughters, Denise Hoyle in 2006; Cindy White, her husband, Ralph and daughter, Stacy White all died together in a tragic fire in 1979; granddaughter, Leslie White; two brothers, Jimmy and Ronnie Doggett.

He is survived by his wife, Susie of the home; son and daughter in law, Steve and Roxie Doggett of Lubbock, Texas; three daughters, Christi Wargo of Monticello, Mari Robinson of Casper, Wyoming, Connie Chestnut of Corpus Christi, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
