Charles Ballard, Jr.

Charles Clifton "Booner" Ballard, Jr., 54, of Rison, AR formerly of Salem, IL, passed on May 4, 2018 at UAMS in Little Rock, AR surrounded by family. He was born December 18, 1963 to Charles "Chuck" Ballard, Sr., and Shirley Brown. He was very special to Loren and Emogene Albert. He married Mary Sue Albert Ballard on December 4, 1979. He worked as a farm hand for Harvey Evans and as a construction foreman for Kenny Carpenter for many years. He enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, hunting, and gardening. He was known for being a maverick mechanic and master of all trades. He enjoyed building demolition derby cars with his sons. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, father and mother-in-law and one brother Daeton Ballard.

He is survived by his wife,  Mary, sons, Eric (Leslie Wilson), Joshua (Kathryn), Michael Ballard, four grandchildren, Chance, Hope, Payton Ballard and Ryder Lyons, sisters, Debbie "Wendy" Eads (Roy), Ann Yates (Tom), Fran Wampler (Mike), Kim Rasnick, Teresa Olstrom, April Brown (Ray), special nephew who was like a son, Dale Albert, Jr. (Tracy), special nieces, Hollie Frazier, Amber Taylor (Kris), Taylor Ereanbrack (James), many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Moore's Church Cemetery in Rison.
