Burnice Eugene "Gene" Lang, age 85, of Cabot, passed away, Wednesday, November 10th, 2021.
Gene was born May 27th, 1936, in Ward, Arkansas, to Uriah and Susan Lang. He was a veteran in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was a Christian and member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Gene was the founder and owner of Alarm Works of Arkansas, as well as other business ventures throughout the years. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, traveling, gardening and working on cars. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 62 years, Wanda Gorman Lang of Cabot; three daughters, Judy Crowder (Doug) of Cabot; Pamela Grumbine of Cabot; Stacy Baldwin (Brian) of Cabot; one son, Scott Lang (Lisa) of Virginia; three sisters, Frances Smith of Beebe; Barbara Taylor (Jack) of Jacksonville; Priscilla Louise Armstrong of Tennessee; one brother, John Lang (Shela) of Jacksonville; twelve grandchildren, Sarah Crowder Foote; Blake Crowder; Eric Crowder; Neal Grumbine; Kyle Grumbine; Scott Lang; Sherrie Lang; Richard Lang; Amanda Lang; Logan Baldwin; Dylan Baldwin; Lydia Baldwin; sixteen great-grandchildren; special cousin, Henry Lang of Cabot; as well as many extended family and friends..
He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandchild, Aubrey Lang; and one brother, Junior Lang.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021, at 10:00 am at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 11923 Zion Hill Road, Cabot, Arkansas 72023, with Brother Terry Fortner officiating. Burial will follow the service at 1:00 PM in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120.
