Bruce Jay Orten

Bruce Jay Orten, age 61 passed away, August 21, 2023, at his home in Searcy, Arkansas. Bruce was born in Aurora, Illinois to Jack Orten and Dee “Roberson” Orten. He was a wonderful father and great musician. He loved playing music on his guitar.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Jack Orten and his wife, Vickie Marie Orten.

He is survived by his mother, Dee Orten of Searcy, Arkansas, and one son, Zach Orten of Sherwood, Arkansas, stepchildren, Brandy Martin and Bub Martin of Judsonia, grandchildren, Shayne Watson, Jessie Massey, Jadlynn Martin, Kaylene Martin, and Everett Martin, and great grandchild, Freya Watson, brothers, Mark Orten (Tammy) of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Keith Orten of Searcy, Arkansas. One sister, Sherry McAnally of Bald Knob, Arkansas. Two nieces, Kaylyn Reed of Bald Knob and Holly Stanley of Palestine, Arkansas, one nephew, Eric Watson of Searcy, Arkansas and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Memorial services will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett.
