Brownie Collins

Brownie Collins age 73 of Thornton, formerly of Rison, died Monday, April 7, 2008 at his home. He was born December 16, 1934 in Lebanon, Illinois, a son of the late Albert and Capitola Whipple Collins. Mr. Collins was a self employed contractor. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Collins; one sister, Shirley Batchelar.

Mr. Collins is survived by four brothers, Gene Collins and Artie Collins both of Thornton, Jerry Collins of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Francis Collins of Rison; one sister, Daisy Brown of Rison; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Buie Chapel in Rison with Brother Charles Cantwell officiating. Burial will follow in Moores Church Cemetery.
