Bobby Dee Jr. "Hap" Kirkland, age 65, of El Paso, passed away Sunday, December 13th, 2020, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was born November 10, 1955, in Jacksonville, Arkansas to Bobby and Sue Kirkland. He was a Christian and a member of Oak Church of Christ. He worked as a mechanic in the farming industry, and enjoyed hunting, trading horses and cattle. He often referred to himself as a jack of all trades and the master of none. Hap loved the people of his community, and would give the shirt off his back to anyone needing assistance.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Michael Dee Kirkland, Sr. of El Paso; bonus son, Dustin Clardy (Peyton) of Grenada, Mississippi; three sisters, Debbie Atkinson (Ken) of Conway; Deeann Fleck (Marvin) of El Paso; Melinda McHam of Conway; three grandchildren, Mikey Kirkland (Sara) of Atkins, Arkansas; Jake Kirkland of Atkins, Arkansas; Kassy Kirkland of Quitman, Arkansas; long time companion, Carolyn Fredrick of El Paso; best friend and mother of his children, Joann Clardy of El Paso; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Amanda Jo Kirkland Roberts.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 17th, 2020, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Vilonia Funeral Home Chapel 1134 Main Street Vilonia, AR 72173. Graveside Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 12:00 pm in Blasingame Cemetery in El Paso with David Riley officiating.
Pallbearers for the service are Joe Heck, Brad Heck, Jeremy Kirkland, John Brown, Ian Lachowsky, Buddy Heck, James Moore and Charles Rawe.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to assist with expenses.
Vilonia Funeral Home is attempting to follow all COVID-19 Health Department guidelines. Attendees over the age of 10 should wear their own mask and maintain a social distance of 6 feet.
