Bobbie J. Briney

Bobbie J. Briney age 76 of Rison, died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Green House Cottages of Southern Hills Nursing Home in Rison. She was born January 30, 1934 in Pine Bluff, a daughter of the late Robert L. Ellison and Alma Rodgers Ellison. Mrs. Briney was a homemaker and a member of Shannon Road Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Briney Sr.; son, James Briney Jr.; daughter, Cathy Phillips; brother, Jimmy Ellison; sister, Dorothy Davis.

Mrs. Briney is survived by three brothers, Leon Ellison and Clyde Ellison, both of Pine Bluff, James Ellison of Rison; three sisters, Allene Donaldson of Hot Springs, Polly Byrd and Patsy Donaldson, both of Pine Bluff; six grandchildren, Jamie and Rachel Phillips, Tracy and Dusty Hebert, Tony Rapada, Haley Phillips, Darrell Briney and Carman Moore; two great grandchildren, Preston Hebert and Colton Hebert.

Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Harlow Cemetery with Brother Bobby Hartsfield officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
