Bob Eugene Cardin

Bob Cardin, age 82 of Sheridan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff on November 22, 2023.  He was born January 24, 1941, in Sparkman, AR to the late Cecil and Willie Moltz Cardin. Bob was a faithful servant of the Lord, and loved all of his church family.  He raised two of his grandchildren, Cody and Josh Herring, from the age of one and two, to adulthood.  Bob was employed by Western Union for 30 years, and then retired from the Arkansas Highway Department. Bob was also a foster parent for many years in Sheridan with his previous wife, Robbie Minter.  He loved to travel, was an avid crappie fisherman, and loved fishing with his brother, Vernon, and his children and grandchildren. Bob loved watching sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball Team. He also was a devoted Sunday school teacher.  Above all else, he loved spending time with family and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Thomas, brother, Vernon Cardin, his previous wife, Robbie Minter, daughter, Donna Hill, and son in law, Craig Hill.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Wanda Cardin of Sheridan, sister, Peggy Johnson (Wendell) of Monticello, Children, Jean Clark (Dale) of Sheridan, Robin Law (Brian) of Herndon, VA, Pam Harrell (Joe) of Star City, Roger Herring (Cindy) of Mena, grandchildren, Robert (Vanessa) of East End, Chris Holder of Sheridan, Travis Clark of White Hall, Eric (Jillian) of White Hall, Jason (Christina) Law of Purcellville, VA, Kaitlyn (Phil) Vivirito of Perryton, TX, Josh Herring of Sheridan, Cody (Brittany) Herring of Sheridan, AR, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Sunday, November 26, 2023, at First Southern Baptist Church in Sheridan with Bro. Ferrel West officiating.
