Billy Frank Thompson

Billy Frank Thompson, age 81, of Sheridan, formerly of the Herbine Community in Cleveland County passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017. He was born February 4, 1936 in Cleveland County, Arkansas, to W. H. "Hughtie" and Hazel Ashcraft Thompson. He was a Baptist and a veteran of the United States Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Bobby Lee Thompson.

He is survived by his brother, Jerry (Rhonda) Thompson of Rison; his children, Cindy Castleberry and Amy (Mark) Westmoreland, both of Little Rock, Mark (Mary) Thompson of St. George, Utah, Jay and Micheal Thompson, both of Sheridan, Jamie Thompson of Leola; five granddaughters and one grandson.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2017 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. A burial will be held at Prosperity Cemetery in Rison at a later date. The family wishes to thank the McClellan V.A. Hospital Palliative Care Staff and Jennifer at Arkansas Hospice. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
