Billy Joe Moser passed away peacefully on April 30,2023 . So much life was lived in his 87 years on this earth.
Born in Step rock , Arkansas to John Moser and Dolly Moser , A mischievous little boy spent his childhood pestering his sisters, helping out on his families strawberry farm and was often chased from hiding under the porch by his mother and her quilting rod after he was found to have caused a ruckus or two.
At the age of 19 he met his wife of 65 years Gloria Angeline (Cox) at Landis Cafe and service station where he caught her attention with a wink. They shared many great moments at the drive-in movie and dancing at the JC club.
In 1959 while Bill was stationed in Hawaii with the US Army they welcomed their first child,a daughter Lisa Anne (Hoselton) into this world. He was so proud of his beautiful daughter. After 2 years of service he returned home and 2 years later they welcomed a second child , a son Keith Cecil who inherited his fathers playful spirit.
He was a hard worker, providing for his family while working for GI in Forrest City and Bald Knob for over 50 years.
Bill was a loving Pops to his 7 grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. From bouncing them on pappies knee singing “Ride a little Horsey”, sneaking them a candy bar he picked up from the store for them or playing “catch” outside.
He lived a wonderful and simple life. Enjoying the little things such as Fish fry’s, camping, playing cards and dominos.
He was a talented bowler, champion of horseshoes and could strike out the best of the best during his softball pitching days.
He was funny and kept his family laughing. He was known to stub his toe on something even if the room was empty. On a tree that he was trimming, he once cut the limb that his ladder was leaning on, and you better believe he had some wild fishing tales to share with you!
A good life is one inspired by love and Bill left this earth loved and with many memories made.
His family is thankful for the opportunity to call him Husband, Daddy and Pops.
