Billy Randall Mercer

Billy Randall Mercer, age 66, of Rison, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at his home. Billy was born on November 26, 1958 to the late Joesph Carl “J.C.” and Retha Louise Mckinney Mercer in Warren, Arkansas. Billy loved being outdoors, fishing, taking care of his animals, and visiting with his friends. He was known for his compassionate heart, giving spirit, resilience, and witty sense of humor. Billy’s personality brought love and laughter to his friends and family and his passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him. His legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring kindheartedness, generosity, and unforgettable spirit.

Other than his parents, Billy is preceded in death by his daughter, Latisha, brothers Allen Mercer and Bobby Mercer, and sister Opal Noble.

Billy is survived by his sisters Katherine Garison and spouse John of Hot Springs Village, AR, Linda Russell and spouse Porter of Warren, AR; brothers Kenneth Mercer and spouse Susan of Rison, AR, James Mercer and spouse Diane of Wilmar, AR; lifelong friend Keith Taylor of Warren, AR; and many nieces and nephews who all loved their uncle Billy.

A memorial service for family and friends will be set at a later date.
