Billy Gene Lunsford Sr

Billy Gene Lunsford Sr, age 77 of White Hall, died Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born June 7, 1930 in Cleveland County, a son of the late Henry B. and Mattie Lula Mae Winston Lunsford. Mr. Lunsford was employed by Coke Cola Bottling Company for over 35 years and a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death his wife, Betty L. Lunsford on January 26, 1995; two brothers, Donnie Lunsford, Troy Dean Lunsford; sister, Carolyn Sue Leopard.

Mr. Lunsford is survived by three sons, Don Lunsford of Littleton, Colorado, Billy Lunsford Jr of Pine Bluff, Brian Lunsford of White Hall; three daughters, Gale Lunsford of White Hall, Beverly Ferrell of Redfield, Renee Ross of White Hall; six brothers, Havis Adell Lunsford of Dumas, Lonnie Lee Lunsford of Malvern, Charlie Ray Lunsford and John L. Lunsford, both of Pine Bluff, Larry DeWayne Lunsford of White Hall, William Henry Lunsford of Star City; four sisters, Maxine Ward of Sheridan, Dorothy Faye Matkin of Fordyce, Martha Nell Nickolson of Clinton, Pauline Lunsford of White Hall; seven grandchildren, Kevin Lunsford, Crystal Welden, Leslie Cope, Clint Ross, Eric Lunsford, Brent Ross, Megan Lunsford; four great grandchildren, Peyton Anderson, Jaxson Anderson, Hanna Welden, Canon Cope.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Rison with Brother David Cripps officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery near Rison. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2007 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Pallbearers are Clint Ross, Brent Ross, Eric Lunsford, Ronnie Lunsford, Shawn Ward, Steven Ward and Jeff Leopard.
