Billy R. Henderson

Billy R. Henderson age 77 of the Woodlawn community, died, Friday, July 23, 2010 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born December 25, 1932 in the Calmer Community near Rison, a son of the late Guy Henderson and Lillie Cope Henderson. Mr. Henderson was employed by Southern Bag Company for forty one years before his retirement. He was an avid hunter and a Baptist. Mr. Henderson was also preceded in death by two sisters, Geneva Vent, Floy Edmonds; brother, Bernis Henderson.

Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife, Jean Dixon Henderson of Woodlawn; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy K. and Cindy Henderson of Woodlawn; two brothers and sister-in-law, Rufus and Jeannette Henderson of Pine Bluff, L.C. Henderson of Leola; one sister, Leona Culp of Austin, Texas; one granddaughter, Lily Henderson of Woodlawn.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2010 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Jackie Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
