Beverly Leng Harris

Beverly Leng Harris age 64 of Pine Bluff, died Friday, April 30, 2010. She was born July 2, 1945 in Bussick County, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Edward Leng and Laura Blakely Young Leng. Ms. Harris was a former director of the Colonial Pre School in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a cheerleader. Mrs. Harris earned a bachelor of science in nursing from North Carolina State and was magna cum laud of her class. She worked most of her nursing career in the mental health field. In the early 1990s, she worked in public relations for the Double Diamond X Ranch in Cody, Wyoming. Ms. Harris was also preceded in death by her sister, Blakely.

Ms. Harris is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald Stanford Bozeman and wife, Lee of Wichita Falls, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Laura Stover and husband Mike of Little Rock; one brother, Donald Leng of Greensboro, North Carolina; one granddaughter, Gracie Stover.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 3, 2010 at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with Reverend Garry Wiles and Brother Wade Totty officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
