Betty Nell Wooley

Betty Nell Wooley, age 75, of Woodlawn, went to be with the Lord Thursday, December 5, 2013. She was born February 5, 1938 in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late Virgil A. Terry and Freda Dixon Terry. Mrs. Wooley enjoyed quilting and family time, especially at the Holidays. She was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Havis Terry; one sister, Bonnie Terry Cummings. Mrs. Wooley is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wooley of Woodlawn, whom she married on October 8, 1955; daughters and sons-in-law, Vanessa and Terry Young of Rye, Sherry and Jimmy Turner of Woodlawn; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Dorothy Terry of Mesquite, Nevada, Bobby L. and Nora Terry of Rison; six grandchildren, Rebecca Welch, Ken and Shelley Young, Jennifer and Steve Dooly, Brandy Turner, Janee and Jody Almand and Jimmy Lee Turner; ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Jackie Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Ken Young, Jimmy Lee Turner, Trey Welch, Tyler Welch, Steve Dooly and Jody Almand.
