Betty Jean Taylor

Betty Jean Taylor, age 76, of the Herbine community near Rison went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Davis Life Care Center in Pine Bluff. Mrs. Taylor was born May 25, 1939 in Herbine, a daughter of the late Leroy Ashcraft and Liddie Mae Phillips Ashcraft. She was a homemaker, loved collecting antiques and always hunting for that unique treasure. Mrs. Taylor was a faithful member of Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ouida Bob Wilson; brothers, Houston Ashcraft and Donald Ashcraft. Survivors include her husband, Billy T. Taylor of Herbine; sons, Britt Taylor and Lisa of Herbine, Craig Taylor of Pine Bluff; brother, Phillip Ashcraft and Regina of Pine Bluff; sister, Janice Kimbrell of Watson Chapel; brother-in-law, Allen Wilson of Rison; sister-in-laws, Pat Ashcraft of Pansy, Renee Ashcraft of Long Beach, California; grandchildren, Jessica Taylor, Linzy Taylor, Nikki Goodloe, Kelly Presley; great grandchildren, Drex Goodloe, Jaxon Taylor and Carter Taylor Smith. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church in Herbine with Brother Wade Peddy officiating. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery at Herbine. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2015 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Memorials can be made to Prosperity Cemetery Association. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
