Betty “Sue” Bonner Quantz, 83, of Little Rock, Arkansas, entered into eternal rest on March 22, 2021 at Hospice Home Care Little Rock. She was born June 18, 1937 in Lafayette, Tennessee to the late Elmer Clarence Bonner and Ruby Gertrude Morgan Bonner. She grew up in Sheridan, Arkansas, where she graduated from Sheridan High School in 1955. She married Robert J. “Bobby” Quantz on July 27, 1957 in Paris, Arkansas. She worked as a medical secretary until she became a mother, then dedicated her life to being a homemaker and full-time mother. Later, she would care for her granddaughter and great-granddaughter; all three of “her girls” were her greatest joys in life. Even while battling chronic illnesses, she always rallied when she was able to spend time with her family until her body would no longer allow her to do so. Her wit, profound love of family, hugs, and pats on the leg will be missed beyond expression. She leaves behind a legacy of love not easily replicated.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Quantz; and one brother, Donnie Bonner. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kim (Keith) Moore; granddaughter, Maeghan (James) Arnold; great-granddaughter, Meredith Eden (her “Meri Berry”), all of Little Rock; one brother, Montie (Lou) Bonner of Texas. She is also survived by extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff at Hospice Home Care, who cared for her as they would their own “Mom” and “Nana.”
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan with Bro. Robert Cossey officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Hospice Home Care’s Tribute of Life Foundation.
